“Sankofa,” an Adinkra term, reminds us of the importance of reclaiming useful things from our past to guide us into the future.
GiveSankofa employs a collective impact strategy focused on individual and community development through programs and services that expand healing, joy, love, innovation, and freedom.
Sankofa calls us to go back to our people and communities that sacrificed to raise us. Return back to loving and trusting our identity, brilliance, and expertise while empowering others to do the same. Give Back to our communities that have been under-resourced and underserved.

We seek to make capital easily accessible by providing unrestricted funding to under-resourced and underserved entrepreneurs focused on uplifting underserved communities.
What You Can Support

Our grants allow us to spread our core values of healing and wealth equity to our most underserved and underinvested communities and organizations. In urban centers Chicago, we provide direct and unrestrictive microgrants to underserved and under-resourced entrepreneurs leading efforts in our most under-resourced communities.
Each organization receives a grant up to $5000 to be used towards their operational budget. They also have the opportunity to nominate an organizational leader or volunteer to receive conscious leadership coaching. The coaching component honors org leaders and volunteers who could use some space to tend to their own healing and leadership growth.
Lastly, to spread the healing and leadership benefits, grantee orgs can nominate another leader or volunteer to receive a complimentary enrollment in the BEE FREE Coaches Academy.
Our pilot cohort launched in October 2023! Congrats to Amalu Coaching, Liberated Arts Movement, Pharmacy Initiative Leaders, Inc (PILS), and Good Works Media!
Our founder, Dr. Fisher used revenue from her work salary to fund our initial investments.

This initiative embodies our justice and collectivism core values. We believe young people possess the wisdom to birth creative solutions that transform their present realities.
Our BEE FREE Youth Leadership Program empowers girls whose parent(s) have experienced incarceration to become conscious leaders for equity within their local communities by equipping them with tools to identify problems, research best practices, engage stakeholders, develop community-centered solutions, and build support to launch their initiatives.
The program ends with a pitch competition and funding to launch the winning initiative within their community.

We’re taking back our right to heal and live life at our full potential. Capturing our healing and love core values, BFM and BFW Coaching program makes coaching accessible to everyone.
We equip women and men with healing strategies to overturn fixed mindsets, trust their spirit, exercise leadership, successfully navigate race and gender issues, and build their legacies. Many women and men come to us when they are at a transition point and want to rise to that higher version of self.
• Our 9-week signature BEE FREE Woman/Man coaching program includes a unique combination of conscious leadership coaching and skill-building tailored to our needs as women and men.
• Our women/men group (“squad”) coaching provides 4-week coaching experiences in a supportive peer community to give women/men high-impact strategies for exercising nuanced leadership in diverse environments.
Upon successful completion of the Sankofa BEE FREE Coaching™ Program, participants receive a certificate of completion and LinkedIn badge
We have an equity-based payment model for individuals and organizations who want to provide coaching for their teams. Pilot launched April 2023 with LatinxEd. We will start taking new partners soon.
